After my studies in higher education, I followed the 4-year Photography course at the Academy of Visual Arts in Ghent. I previously followed a teacher training course and then continued my studies: intercultural communication and international collaborations with specialization in Africa and Asia. Where I feel at home.
Where creativity flows because you are where you want to be on the road. Always looking for stories. Sincerely meeting, entering into a dialogue, in which you open yourself to what presents itself. The basic attitude of attentive observation and writing down this story and visualizing it, with a strong focus.
Discovering new places and getting to know other cultures has always been one of my most important drivers in life.
In constant learning with and from others, I want to understand what the world looks like from different perspectives. North-South is at the center of everything I'm doing. Professional and beyond. I think it is extremely important to have a broad view of the world that surrounds us.
With a camera in one hand and my eyes and ears wide open, I document the stories that come to me or that I consciously look for.
I regularly travel south. I make reports with a great socially engaged interest in people and their environment.
Reports with a social added value and sustainable approach, the message, vision and mission of which I gladly send to the world.
In addition, I regularly make wedding reports, documentary photography in Flanders - or beyond - in which the story of that day is told.
